My version of Fantasy Role-play
When Dungeons & Dragons 3.0 was replaced by the munchkin 3.5 version, a number of people decided that Wizards of the Coast was not writing the rules they wanted to play with. Pazio went with an even more munchkin version, Pathfinder, and pulled off the munchkin crowd. I went with a more conservative set of rules, and settled down for a lifetime of consistent gaming.
I went back to a number of things established in the original AD&D rule set. I then rewrote the rules being consistent with movement rates and skills. There was first a softcover book that Kinkos put together for me. It however did not hold up to steady use. I then went to Lulu for a hardback book. Those books are still being used, even as we have developed the rules further.
Right now the party is about 10th level and pushing rules that have yet to be tested. The game is going well, and I am happy. That is how it should be. As for Wizards of the Coast, they are not happy because people are not playing by their rules. Too bad for them.
